Where In Madison: Madison Card Show

Each month, you can find me at the Sheraton Hotel on John Nolen Drive for the Madison Card Show. Continue reading to learn why and why you should join the fun!

When & Why We Started

We started our card show journey in January 2022 by setting up for the first time at the Stevens Point Card Show. It was a hit! We loved tabling and even better yet, meeting wonderful folks. Not to mention, Shiina had (still has) a lot of cards to sell. How come? He’s been collecting cards for over 20 years! Plus, we enjoy opening packs every here and there, so we have many duplicates.

The Community

At the time we started, I was four months pregnant with Valkyrie. Now, she’s 20 months old (1 year old). Individuals we’ve met during the past two years have told us how much they love seeing her grow. One moment Valkyrie’s crawling, now she’s running!

There’s a little girl that’d stop by our table each month to give me a Pokemon card and ask to see Valkyrie. It’s the thought that she puts into selecting a card and her excitement to give it to me that makes me so happy. It’s something I look forward to every month. And, she has a new brother! It’s been great to get to know her and her family.

The Sheraton Hotel staff know us quite well too! Dare I say it, I think they even look forward to seeing us (laughs). We buy snacks and beverages at the Market Cafe with each visit and see the same staff. In addition, I let Valkyrie walk around the first floor and we typically bump into (literally… as you may know with a running toddler) familiar faces.

We love meeting new people and getting to know them better. It’s especially easy when we have something in common, cards! It’s amazing to be a part of this community and we’d love to have you.
