On my way to and from work, I see so many different shades of green. The leaves from the trees are a bright green, while the shade of the fields are dark green. It’s rained quite a lot lately, which explains why. Feeling the rain and seeing the many shades of green is refreshing. It’s a reminder that the grass is greener as an outcome of rain.
Similar to how the shades of green change, so do we. We’re constantly evolving, growing. Sometimes we’re dull, like when there isn’t as much sunlight. We’re yearning for brighter days. Eventually the rain will fall and we feel it incredibly strong. We’re soaked as if our cups are overflowing. However, once the rain stops and the sun shines, we find that there are rainbows. Not to mention, the grass is much greener.
So, don’t be too hard on yourself. I know that’s easier said than done. However, it makes every day a little less dull. There’s no light without darkness and no rainbow without rain. Let’s embrace our shades.
