Once upon a time, there was a dragon that set off on an adventure, seeking treasures, love, and her version of success. She knew this journey could be lonesome. However, she was thrilled about it. She was finally out to fly, to roar. She couldn’t wait to grow on her own.
She’s always worked hard at everything she does. That’s what dragons do. They’re ambitious, energic, and full of imagination. Thus, the dragon kept herself busy. And she grew. She traveled, found love, and prosperity.
She accomplished what she set out to do. But why did she suddenly feel lonely? She had everything she wanted. It wasn’t enough.
The Lonely Dragon was lonely, in the year of the dragon.
The Lonely Dragon missed her family, the one she moved further away from, and her friends, the ones that weren’t in the same spot as she was in life. Some days she’d want to fly back, just for a visit. Even so, it isn’t easy.
The life she’d work so hard to achieve held her back. While she loves what she’s built, she feels lonely that she can’t share it with all her loved ones.
Days, months, go by and the Lonely Dragon finds herself explaining again to her loved ones why she can’t attend gatherings. It’s the same reason and she says this more times than she’s asked “How are you?”
It doesn’t mean she doesn’t think about how they’re doing. She thinks of them everyday, even though she may not express it. And she hopes they think of her too.
