Make It Monday: Ground Beef Larb

This is one of the easiest and quickest dishes to make! For me, it takes up to thirty minutes. It can for you as well, and it’s flavorful. Let’s make ground beef larb!

Ingredients:

  • Ground Beef (you’re welcome to substitute it for fish, chicken, or beef)
  • Laab-Namtok Seasoning (about two tablespoons is what I did, can be adjusted)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Lime
  • Thai Basil
  • Mint
  • Scallions
  • Cilantro
  • Red Pepper (optional)
    • Note: I used green peppers here since I didn’t have red peppers

Step #1: Prepare Produce (as seen in the photos below)

  1. Rinse all produce items
  2. Cut cilantro, spring onion, lime, and red pepper
  3. Take the basil leaves and mint leaves off the stems

Step #2: Cook the Meat

  1. Heat the pan on the stove top and apply oil
  2. Add ground beef, stir occasionally
  3. Cook until ready
  4. Separate the oil from the meat
  5. Place in a separate bowl

Step #3: Season the meat with salt, laab-namtok seasoning mix (from the pack and container)

Step #4: Add produce to the meat and mix together (Note: squeeze the lime for lime juice)

Step #5: Taste and add more seasoning, if needed
