It took weeks to build our baby registry. We knew we didn’t have experience in this area, so it took time to look into brands, item specificity, stores, prices, and more! We also browsed Google, YouTube and TikTok for the best recommendations. It was overwhelming at first, but it got easier once we knew what we liked and what we were looking for.
We registered at Target, Walmart, Amazon, Bed Bath and Beyond, Buy Buy Baby, and Babylist. We compiled all the registries into Babylist, which was convenient and easy to do. Not to mention, it’s free! We didn’t have to worry about various links and only had one. The registered items showed multiple purchase options. This was great for comparing prices and for loved ones to track their purchases. My favorite part about using Babylist is that it notifies us on which items were purchased and by whom, weekly updates on price changes, and on further resources. We know who to thank for gifts and it makes it easy to cross things off our list. Feel free to look at our Babylist registry for example!
Everyone’s registry will differ. We added items that we were comfortable with, especially as first time parents. We felt that if loved ones wanted to gift something, then we should provide options for them to choose from. We didn’t want to limit ourselves to what should be or shouldn’t be added as we’d be grateful for any gift! We also considered the items that we were already gifted.
