Fine dining or event planning? Consider visiting Cento Ristorante, a premiere Italian restaurant, located on the corner of Mifflin and Fairchild!
We celebrated the birthdays of our friends Tanya and Qiongshi, who graciously invited us to dinner at Cento. Thank you both for having us and happiest birthday!
Our Visit
As soon as we stepped foot into Cento, we were welcomed with a chic interior. While we didn’t get much of a look at the main room, I really enjoyed the semi private dining room. The chandeliers and detailing near the windows were exquisite. Not to mention, the natural look of the brick wall with a large window.
Our table was set with elegance from name cards, floral bouquets, serviettes, cutlery, wine glasses, to lit candles. I could tell that each piece was carefully placed in their positions. This was made possible by Lydia Turino, founder and lead planner of Miriam Events Company.
Love and good company is what comes to mind when I think of our experience at Cento. Not only did the hubby and I get a date night in, we were surrounded by such amazing individuals. It was the first time I met the partners of some colleagues or actually got to have a full conversation with them (laughs)! In turn, Shiina met my colleagues. We all learned about one another as we shared stories about our past, present and future.

Our Order
Before the dinner party, I glimpsed at Cento’s menu to plan ahead. I couldn’t decide between a Vegan Margherita Pizza or the Shrimp Mafaldine Pasta. Can you guess which one I went with? The pasta dish! And it was delicious! The shrimp was perfectly cooked and the sauce was, as Goldilocks would say, “just right.” I especially enjoyed the noodles with the sauce. It was the perfect combination of texture and taste.
Another perfect combination of texture and taste was Shiina’s Italian Sausage Pizza. I haven’t had broccolini on pizza before, but it paired deliciously with the calabrian chili and tomato sauce. Yum!
Tanya and Qiongshi offered everyone wine. The ones I tasted were a white wine, red wine and orange wine. They were delightful! If you’re unsure which wine to get first, get the orange wine!
