Who is Angela Yang?

My name is Angela Yang. I enjoy dabbling in a lot of things – blogging, esthetics, podcasting, real estate, small business, content creation… the list goes on. I truly think that life has so much to offer us. What about us? We have just as much to offer. There’s more to life than simply existing. So, I go for as much as I can!

What do I do and why do I do it?

During my junior year of high school, I took part in a competition. The hosting organization chooses five community members to present, at a crowdfunding dinner, their ideas on projects that may better the community. I presented the Conquer Project. It focused on the health of adolescents and the creation of programs to better their mental and physical health. After presenting, a middle-school aged individual approached me and told me how much they resonated with me. Their smile alone lit my world. They told me they felt heard and no longer felt alone. Although the Conquer Project wasn’t chosen, the experience gave me purpose. A lot of the attendees asked if I considered becoming a businessperson or politician. I realized what I loved doing: creating, helping, and speaking…. Entrepreneurship! Several years later, I’d graduate with a BBA in Entrepreneurship.

While in college, I blogged and sold custom made apparel. Today, I still do the same. Writing has always been my best form of communication. It’s allowed me to share more than just what’s on my mind, what’s in my heart.

After graduating college, I planned to pursue a MBA in Project Management. However, I chose a different path. I attended aesthetics school where I quickly earned a License in Esthetics. Skincare brought me joy. Not to mention, I was really good with it. It came naturally. I wanted to use what I was passionate about to help people feel and look their best. It’s a great feeling to see the relief on the guests I work with, knowing I helped them in some way.

Several months later, I received my Real Estate Salesperson License. Achieving this had been in the back of my mind since college, which I wish I pursued while in college since I had space in my schedule to take the course. Nonetheless, we’re here. I understand that a home is not just the ground it’s built on or the structure it’s made of. A home is more than that. A home is a sanctuary. A home has character. A home has stories. And I hope to be part of one of those stories. I look to utilize my experience and knowledge to guide and advocate for those I work with to ensure their real estate goals are met.

In the same month, I became a Certified Meditation and Mindfulness Teacher. As a person who’s constantly thinking about the next thing, or living in the future I say, I need moments to bring me back to the present. I need calmness and clarity. Meditation and mindfulness keeps me afloat. I only hope to offer the same to others.

Months after that, I started a podcast and took up content creation on multiple platforms. Like my blog, I want to share what I love most about life to inspire people to truly live and experience all that there is to life. It’s a documentation of my day-to-day, not just for people to view, mainly for myself 20 to 30 years from now. I want to look back and see what I was up to in a specific moment of my life. In addition, I want my kids to see what their mom was doing.

I don’t share all of this to boast. I share this because it’s part of who I am. These experiences. This journey. If you’ve read this far, then you may have figured out the kind of person that I am. I’m caring, hardworking, passionate, driven, and resourceful.

You may have figured out why I do what I do too. Life’s too short to wonder and wander. I want to take up every opportunity, every chance, and every challenge. It’s a blessing. It’s also a blessing to create, help and speak. It’s my purpose.

What’s more?

I’m not done yet. No, I’ve barely scratched the surface! There are so many more ideas in my mind that I want to pursue.

A mentor told me, “You run with everything you’re given towards anything you love. You’re like a flame that never dies.” I think back to this moment often. I’m constantly learning something new and my day to day varies. It’s never a dull moment. And it’s true. I don’t give up easily. When I want something or start something, I have to finish it.

With that, I look forward to sharing more with you in the years to come!
